“Beneficial, high-volume clinical elective for family medicine trainees. Through my experience I was able to increase my skills in patient flow, assessment and management of acute limiting illnesses as well as enhancing my procedural skills including suturing and incision and drainages.”

“My experience as a resident learner at the UCC was excellent. It provided me a fast-paced, learner friendly environment where I was able to test my skills and knowledge in a community family medicine/walk-in setting. My confidence grew immensely from managing a high volume of patients during my time there. The variety of cases was a great learning tool. It was evident to my home site preceptors that I had become more efficient in my time management and displayed increased confidence as well. Overall, I was better prepared for practice outside of residency after this elective and would recommend it to other family medicine residents.”
